Herts Performing Arts is an independent company that organises holiday schools based on the performing arts for children aged between 4 and 12 years old in North Hertfordshire

Get to know us...

 All our members of staff are fully trained, with experience in the performing arts industry. We ensure that our members of staff are DBS checked and fully versed with our safeguarding policy. 

Liz Townsend (MA BMus ARSM QTS) - Manager and Performing Arts Coach - is a professional musician and teacher (with Qualified Teacher Status). She has years of experience with private tuition as well as being a classroom teacher for key stages 3, 4 and 5. She also runs the Ashwell Big Sing community choir and runs several concerts a year for all her students and loves spreading the joy of music to everyone πŸ₯°πŸŽ­ 🎢🎡

Rebecca Grant (BMus PGDip) is a professional musician, choir director and teacher based in Hertfordshire. She founded the Musical Melodies Choir, based in Welwyn Garden City, in 2018 and since then has started a further 3 choirs for the same brand, including 2 youth choirs for children. Rebecca has been teaching private students in both piano and singing and was Head of Singing and Musical Theatre BTEC at the Performing Arts Depot in Dunstable for 4 years. She is very excited to join the HPA team!  

Jack Cherry (BMus) - Freelance Drama Coach - is a musician, writer and performer. Since graduating from Trinity Conservatoire in 2014 as a double bassist Jack has enjoyed a varied musical career including performing in various musicals, recording for Max Richter, playing Happy Birthday at NATO in Brussels and playing the soundtrack of Harry Potter in Saudi Arabia. As well as making music Jack has contributed librettos to three operas including the comic opera The Dowager’s Oyster and took his one-man comedy show Jack Cherry and Friends from the Fruit Bowl to Brighton Fringe Festival in 2019. Jack is currently working on writing a South American spy thriller!
